Jot Magazine- March Mood Board.

Just scraping in with my March Mood Board Challenge this month. I did complete February, but didn’t blog about it. In fact looking at my blog I haven’t blogged about anything since the January challenge. I must rectify this as I have lots to share.  Back to March. The Mood Board this month was so pretty. I was drawn to the purple as I knew I had some purple papers in my stash, as well as the vintage fabric. I wanted a bit of a mish mash layout, like a scrappy vintage quilt.  ...

Jot Magazine – January Mood Board Challenge

As mentioned in my previous post, I really want to try to complete all of the Jot Mood Board Challenges this year, if for nothing but to try some new techniques and use up my stash. January’s board is quite fresh and relaxed with a feeling of home, and a hint of nautical. I was drawn to the cobalt blue, the whites, and the mixed patterns. I thought about what I would do with it, but nothing came to mind right away. Then yesterday we spent the day at the seaside suburb of Williamstown.  ...

Memory Keeping 2017

Hello! Happy New Year, I’m going to be honest, I’m not really sure why I write these posts as I seldom seem to stick to them, but I do like to look back and see what I committed myself to doing in January once the year gets busy again. Project Life: I’m continuing with Project Life this year, but I’m changing album sizes and using a mint Studio Calico 9×12. I’m pretty excited about this size as the 6×8 I started with last year was too small, and the  ...

Life and Outings, Memory Keeping

Three must visit places.

Disclaimer- this post is written from my childhood memories and I may remember places differently to how they were. “Don’t stand too close to the edge”. Nanna’s voice rang out as my sister and I edged closer to the water fountains at the Melbourne City Square. There were so many types; the cascade of water that appeared to run down little steps, the deeper pools along the Collin’s street side that always seemed a bit spooky, the shallow pools on the Flinders  ...

February Memory Keeping

I have to admit that I’m struggling with my pocket album this year. Really struggling.  I’m trying to simplify it, to make time to put it together, to make things easier on me, but I’m not feeling it. This is the last month I’m going to do ‘monthly’ Project Life. From March I’ve decided to switch back to weekly but probably without the ‘Week X’ title card. Monthly seemed like a good idea as I thought I’d find it less overwhelming,  ...

January Memory Keeping

Plans. Ha! I should know by now not to create elaborate, or even small plans for my memory keeping as they never eventuate the way I envisiage. Firstly, the biggest change to all my plans was the arrival of Finley in early January! He’s a lovely baby and we have all been enjoying having him in our life. I had forgotten how little crafting time one really enjoys with a young baby though, and have revised some of my memory keeping plans this year to make things easier on me. I  ...

Project Life 2015 and plans for 2016

Today’s big excitment for me wasn’t having a baby, but I did manage to pull out all stops and complete my 2015 Project Life Album! I didn’t think I would finish it this year as I’ve become  disinterested with the 12×12 format, and as my photos piled up and up I felt overwhelmed. However in the past week or so I’ve managed to sort, edit, and print the photos, and today I sat down with my kits and filled in all the gaps with fillers and journaling from  ...

December Daily Wrap Up

This is my third year of participating in December Daily®. December Daily® is a mini scrapbook project created by Ali Edward’s to capture December. You can learn more at her website. I am on The Stamp Spot Documenting December Design Team and am using Michelle’s wonderful kit for my December Daily along with some extra items from my stash.  As December progressed it became too hard for me to keep up with blogging due to various pregnancy woes, but I am excited that I did have my album  ...
