One Little Word 2016

Yesterday I briefly mentioned that I will be taking Ali Edward’s One Little Word course for the third year. While I haven’t always finished all the course prompts, I’ve still found the course valuable and have enjoyed taking part. My words have stayed with me, even if I haven’t sat down with them for a while.

I’ve been trying on a few words for size over the past month and finally came to a decision this week when my word seemingly chose me;

embrace

It’s not one of the words I was thinking of (they were create, evolve, and focus, for what it’s worth), but when I saw it on a previous OLW list, it jumped out at me saying ‘pick me, pick me!’

So here’s to 2016 being the year I embrace change, family, friends, health, home, garden, opportunities, passions, hobbies, challenges, and goals.

Change will obviously be the big one with a whole new family member on the way, and change is still the biggest cause of my anxiety and thus needs working on.

What is your word this year?

    I’m blogging my word today, I’ve gone with Balance. I’ve had embrace before and I didn’t want to let it go, it’s a great word to have guide you in 2016.

      I’m hoping it will prove a good word!
      Balance seems like a really good word for you given all that you juggle. I hope you have lots of balance in your life this year x

    What a great idea, am going to have to give this some thought but loving both embrace and balance as they both embody what 2016 is going to be for me. Can I have two? ;)

      Of course you can! I actually think you would enjoy the course. You should look into it next year :)
      I usually have a companion word come to me through the year so technically I have two.
