Blog Everyday in May – the who was I kidding edition.

So I’ve proven that at this exact point in life, blogging everyday is presenting quite a few challenges for me. I could sit down, write a few posts at a time, schedule them, and they’ll appear like magic everyday, but to me the challenge was about more than that; it was/is about making time daily for those posts and I’d feel like I was cheating myself if  scheduled posts (which is something I often do). We had a rough week with various sick (not seriously) family members,  ...

Blog Everyday in May- Day 12 and 13

Real life very much got in the way the past few days and I have missed quite a few prompts. Today I’m going to attempt to combine two in a cheesy, I’m really bad at this, kind of way! Day 12 Tell us how your blog got its name (and tagline) Day 13 Write a poem or piece of creative prose There is a young lass by the name of Renae, She has red hair, and a lot to say. A blog seemed like the obvious choice, to sit now and then and share her voice. But what to call it, thought Ren?  ...

Blog everyday in May – Day 7

Day 7 Where are you blogging from today? Today’s prompt is strangely relevant. I do most of my blogging from my desktop, my photos are there, it’s easier to type, easier to link up etc. tonight however, I forgot about blogging until I was cosy in bed in the tablet, so tonight I am blogging from the blogsy app in my bed. Because I’m blogging from my tablet, I had to look up my blog to find the link to the prompt… Well, I was horrified! Something has gone amiss and my  ...

Blog everyday in May – Day 6

Day 6 A favourite photo of you. Gosh. This is a tough one given I generally don’t like photos of me and see all the faults! I had a quick look through some recent photos and recalled there were some taken by my friend Beck back in March that I do like because they aren’t posed. Beck was giving me lessons on how to use my own camera and just taking some snaps to check the settings. Elijah is making silly faces at the camera while I laugh away at him. I like this photo because it  ...

Blog Everyday in May – Day 5

Day 5 Write a ‘How to’ post teaching everyone … well, how to do something! Cooking, crafting, or anything else that takes your fancy. Realising today’s prompt is about writing a ‘how to’ at 7:15pm is not really the best! I’ve had a quick flip through my photos and decided I’ll share a recipe. This is a quick and easy dish that makes a great weeknight dinner. Serve them on their own, or with rice and salad. The best part about this recipe is that it’s  ...

Blog Everyday in May- Day 4

Day 4 What’s a compliment you have been given that has stuck with you? Who gave it to you? When? I’m attempting to keep my answers to these prompts semi on topic to my blog. The first compliment that came to mind relating to creativity when I read this prompt is one I’ve received a few times recently, and am always surprised to receive. Given a few people have said this, it’s not word for word, but the basic gist of it is; You inspire me to do xyz. Some people have said it  ...

Blog everyday in May – Day One

Sometimes I like to jump on bandwagons when it comes to hobbies and blogging, sometimes these are well thought out decisions, and other times they just seem like fun at the time but I haven’t really thought it through. Deciding to join in with Simone’s Blog Everyday in May challenge may fall into the latter, but we’ll see how we go. If you are interested in joining in you can pop over to her blog for the prompt list and link up. Day 1. Goal setting.  What are your plans  ...
