Documenting December with The Stamp Spot kit

This is my third year of participating in December Daily®. December Daily® is a mini scrapbook project created by Ali Edward’s to capture December. You can learn more at her website.

I have a few Christmas albums I’m aiming to complete this year;

  • A 6×8 December Daily®, which will be the third I’ve completed.
  • An 8×8 photobook of Christmas from 2004-2012 which encompasses the years I wasn’t scrapping and have no physical photos printed for. I’m completing it digitally.
  • A 6×4 mini album of random Christmas photos I do have printed from 1990-2003.
  • Project Life for the month of December.

I’m so excited that the time to get started has arrived! To add to the excitement of my December Daily® project this year, I was asked by Michelle from The Stamp Spot to be on her December Design Team using her Documenting December kit. The offer came completely out of the blue, and pretty much made my scrapbooking year! I’ll be creating my foundation pages for my DD using the kit and will be sharing my pages as I go.

On to the kit!

My kit arrived on Friday, and I excitedly opened it up and had a good look in all the bags. It wasn’t until today though that I had a chance to actually lay it all out. I have to say, that once it was laid out in front of me, I was surprised by just how much is in this kit! It really is wonderful, and the colours are perfect for the warmer Australian climate where we don’t have snow! The first photo shows the papers in varying sizes; 6×8, 6×4, 4×4, and 2×2 as well as some stickers and an envelope that I discovered after I’d photographed the embellishments. There’s a mix of patterns, plains, vellum, acetate, glitter, and cork.

Next up are the 3×4’s in an assortment of papers, some specialty cards in 3×4 and 2×2, and those wonderful glittery numbers! I can’t wait to use those!

Lastly; look at how many embellishments there are! I’m all about stars in my Christmas scrapping. They’re my most used embellishment and the amount in the kit makes me very happy. You can also see sequins, enamel dots, die cuts, labels, alpha stickers, gold numbers, washi tape, doilies, a stamp.. it goes on!

I can’t wait to get started and will be sharing the first of my pages on the weekend. Stay tuned!

    I really like how neutral it is. Especially for Aussies. Who freaking needs 10 papers with snow flakes when the nights never get below 20?!?!? Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Xx
