It’s been quite a while since I’ve regularly blogged, and at least six weeks since I’ve blogged at all. I can finally reveal why…

These are bought slippers, not crafted by me!

We’re having a baby in January! I’m due January 1st and admit I’m hoping it doesn’t arrive early for Christmas unless there’s time for us to be home for Christmas day! I’m not going to lie and pretend everything has been rosy. I’ve had much worse morning sickness (read all day sickness!) this time round which has been quite isolating and left me feeling really down and alone for many weeks. It’s finally eased though, and I’m back out and about doing things, trying to catch up with Project Life, and aiming to return to blogging more often.

I’m also itching to get back into sewing and have plans to whip up some maternity clothes as well as a new quilt or two for the baby. I’ve already started a ripple blanket using Lucy of Attic24’s lovely Neat ripple pattern given I’m not the fastest of crocheters and would like to have it finished before bubba is due. I recommend this one if you’re looking for an easy to follow ripple pattern.
