Memory Keeping Plans 2018
When it’s been a while since I last posted, I never know quite how to begin… do I exclaim about how fast time has gone, do I make a pile of excuses based around a needy toddler, or do I just start and vow to keep a bit more on top of things this year? Let’s go with the latter.
My plans for 2018 are going back to basics. I undertook too many projects last year that were meant to be kept on top of, and when I didn’t I felt bad, and I still feel a bit anxious that I didn’t finish everything last year. I still need to go back and complete Project Life, Week in the Life, my pocket page notebooks for my Autumn, Winter, and Spring gardens, a pocket page notebook for each of the boys, and December daily. I can quite confidently say I will complete Project Life, and December Daily, but the rest I just don’t know. I’m hoping to!
Armed with this knowledge, I know I need to simplify my memory keeping, and not get caught up with every trend and project on offer. This year I’m doing;
Project Life in a 9×12 album. I really enjoyed this size for 2017 and didn’t think twice about sticking with it despite it not being readily available in Australia. My fuse comes in handy for altering my stash of 12×12 pockets.
52 Weeks in a pocket page notebook. This project will be a story each week that I want to tell in a bit more detail. I’ll be creating a page digitally for the journaling, then printing off a page of photos to pop in the pocket side. I’ll blog about this in more depth when I’ve complete week one.
December Daily goes without saying as it’s my favourite!
Aside from these three projects, I’m also really excited to be on a creative team for Larkindesigns this year. Theresa is a digital designer who creates monthly releases for memory keeping. I’ll be using her cards along with my stash and other bits and pieces in both my Project Life and 52 Week albums.
Last but not least I’m taking One Little Word again. I wasn’t going to, but I’m going to approach the class differently to previous years and hope it works out better for me. I’m yet to complete all the prompts and this will be my 5th year. My word this year is simplify and I’ll ramble about that in another post.
What are your plans this year?
