Foundation pages are new to me this year. I’ve intended to create them in the past, but never go around to it. I have to say I’m really enjoying creating them. They’ve given me a need to sit down and think about what activities we have planned for December, what extra things I’d like to include that would usually go amiss once December has begun, and how I plan to journal. I’ll be honest; I’m still stuck on the last one. The first year I typed my journaling onto pre-made cards, the second year I handwrote on labels.. this year I’m leaning towards making journal cards using the numbers from the kit and handwriting on them.

Here’s a few photos of pages I’ve created. You’ll see I really am enjoying 3×8 inch pockets this year!

Title page – I drew the trees and cut them out with scissors. I’d really like a Silhouette! This page has set a theme of sorts for my album which is trees and stars. It’s also a bit of a nod to my longing for a white Christmas without being too ‘white Christmas’.

A few of my favourite fillers so far. If you click on an individual image you can read more about it and see it full size.

I’m really enjoying working with The Stamp Spot kit. There’s no shortage of paper or fun embellishments and I’m enjoying thinking of ways to use everything. The only addition item I’ve added is white cardstock because I do like a bit of white space among the colours.

Once I’ve made my journal cards I’ll be back to share part two!

I love your pages so far! They look awesome! I’m doing my DD a little differently, so I haven’t started any foundation pages. I like to do mine as I go because I’m working in a Travelers Notebook insert and do more journaling then anything. This is my first year doing it this way, but I did it like this for another project I did and rather enjoyed it. We’ll see how it goes.

    Love, Jenn
