This is my third year of participating in December Daily®. December Daily® is a mini scrapbook project created by Ali Edward’s to capture December. You can learn more at her website.

For my past two December Daily albums, I’ve had the intention to create foundation pages but then November passed me by and I ended up starting the album in December, and not finishing until good few weeks into the new year. This year I can’t let my DD linger too long because once the baby is here I can see it being put aside and it could be hard to come back to, so foundation pages and having some idea about where I am going with the project are a must.

The first thing to think about was my physical set up of supplies. In previous years I just dragged things out to the dining room table and worked on my album here and there, but this year I need something more accessible on a day to day basis, but easy to pack up, so I’m utilising my sewing table.

Being a sewing table it also needs to be able to be used for sewing should the desire strike, so I’ve just used a portable shelf and tray to keep my supplies in. This way they’re easy to grab and sift through when I’m working on pages, but they’re also easy to move out of the way when I want to sew. I have a few Christmas projects I plan to work on, but for now I’m mainly working on foundation pages so my Christmas supplies unrelated to the kit are sitting on a nearby shelf. I’m sure once December arrives I’ll pull them out as well.

I keep my basic Project Life supplies; pens, punches, glues, inks etc in a Raskog which can just be wheeled over to my table when required.

My set up certainly isn’t as pretty or inspiring as some, but it’s practical and I think it will work well for me.
