Easy Christmas Garland
Need something to add some cheer to the hallway? Why not whip up one of these very easy felt garlands!
You’ll need:
6 sheets of felt in green, white and red (or whichever colours you like!)
Glitter glue
Embroidery thread
Star templates in two sizes (these can easily be found by googling- or draw you own!)
Scissors
Needle
1. Cut out the star templates and trace out 9 large stars in each colour and 9 small stars in each colour. Cut them out. You now have 54 stars!
2. Using the glitter glue draw dots, lines, or whatever takes your fancy on the stars and allow to dry.
3. Once stars are dry, decide how many chains of stars you’d like (I made two) and begin to join stars together. Thread the cotton with a knotted end through the ‘arm’ of one star, then join to the ‘arm’ of the next star and knot. Continue the chain until all stars are joined. You can join them randomly or follow a pattern.
4. Hang your garland on the wall, this year I’ve hung the garland from picture hooks, hanging a paper decoration on each hook to help hold the garland on. Last year I held the entire thing up with sticky tape which is pictured in the first photo!
5. Enjoy!
