After using mainly digital cards for last weeks' layout, I decided to just use the one kit this week and do nothing digitally aside from collaging a few photos. The result? Meh.
Bide rides. Visiting the ducks. Feeding horses.
There's nothing wrong with it, I do like it, but because I don't like my own handwriting and because I do like embellishing things a little, I found this one a bit plain. I think it's easier to coordinate things from the PC too as all the photos are open in the same program as the cards, with the colour swatches right there.
Visits from cousins. Fun at the play centre.
I was determined to beat the cropping issue when printing this week's photos. On screen the photos were perfect, but once again after printing, I lost some. Annoyingly I lost some of the borders off small photos to go on the 3×4 cards. I took them back to the counter and the lovely Officeworks lady helped me try again. This time we tried printing them with a border. The border did help in that the sides stayed intact, but I still lost some off the bottom. In future I'll put less photos on a 6×4 and just print more out. I could try a different printer, but this one is so close by, the photos take 2 minutes to print, and they are only 9c each.
I'm looking forward to next week, where I'll go back to my hybrid approach of digital and a bit by hand.
