Aside from planting more veggies today we also pottered around in the garden beds admiring the flowers, commenting on how much nicer the garden is than last year and how much better it will be next year. We planted some allysum, lavender and raspberry canes in the beds today. I have a shady corner that needs filling with something but I haven’t decided what. The area is fairly damp, gets a little bit of afternoon sun but is mainly shaded by our street tree to the north and a crepe myrtle to the south. I’m thinking some sort of flowering ground cover; suggestions are welcome!
