I’m not an embroiderer, I cannot form a french knot, my daisy chain is messy and my blanket stitch leaves a lot to be desired. However, I do like to give things a go and after pondering over an embroidery magazine for a few weeks I decided to stitch something:

He’s not quite finished – he needs pressing and some sort of finishing but I’m happy with him. I’ve almost finished a matching one and I suspect I’ll make them both into more door hangery kind of things unless someone can suggest something more creative!

Next up I’m working on a White Christmas scene in blue thread which will be framed. (I’m being highly optimistic that it will be frame worthy!)

I should also mention that I did not draw the bird myself- the pattern was in last years ‘Better Homes and Gardens -Christmas Essentials’ pull out.
