Gardening

Weekend sun

This past weekend we were fortunate enough to have some beautiful, sunny weather. We spent some time in the garden edging beds, and replacing an azalea bed with salvias. The latter has been on the cards for a while as the azaleas were planted in an inappropriate position to begin with and have never flourished. Most of the time they look brown and drab and had some sort of scale that we couldn't be bothered investing the time in to treat.

The bed looks a bit empty at present, but the salvias should bush up nicely and I'll be planting the gaps out with seasonal flowers, like pansys to add some more colour.
