Brunch and a nice surprise

I was supposed to host an afternoon tea today, but once we saw the weather forecast soar to 40’C we decided a brunch was more in order.

Having never hosted a brunch before I wasn’t sure what would work. The girls volunteered to bring along some fruit (I’m not responsible for the amazing looking pile of watermelon and passion fruit!) so I went with french fruit toast, yogurt and maple syrup. It was delicious!

Mel brought me a ‘congrats on the pregnancy’ pressie which was exciting in itself, but even more so when I opened it up and discovered a book I’ve been coveting for quite some time.

I look forward to trying out the fabulous projects in this!

I hope everyone is managing to stay cool! I really dislike the heat.

Oh yum! It all looks so delicious – brunch was most definitely the most sensible option today.

Had a lovely time and it was so good to see you and your gorgeous little baby bump – you’re looking amazing.

Brunch was definitely a great idea and I loved the French Fruit Toast … will definitely have to replicate that!!!

So glad you like the pressie and that it was something you really wanted too, what an added bonus! Think I will be putting it on my birthday list ;)
