December Daily – Days 10-12
This is my third year of participating in December Daily®. December Daily® is a mini scrapbook project created by Ali Edward’s to capture December. You can learn more at her website.
I am on The Stamp Spot Documenting December Design Team and am using Michelle’s wonderful kit for my December Daily along with some extra items from my stash. You can Michelle’s blog here and her store here. She’s currently having a huge sale!
Day 10
Since I last updated I’ve made some adjustments to my computer monitor and installed the very excelled RadLab Photoshop plug in trial. It’s made a huge difference to how my photos are printing, much brighter and true to life.
Today we went berry picking as you can see, I happened to have some die cuts that looked like berries so I added some sequins to them for a bit of shine. I’m pleased that the layout looks appropriate for the day, but still a little Christmassy.
Day 11
Today was all about battling shopping centres and supermarkets which was stressful more than fun and interesting! Elijah had fun playing with the metal toadstools at the shops. I included my supermarket list in a little pocket as it’s the shopping list for our annual dinner which is the next day.
Day 12
(I’ve blurred my family for their privacy)
I really like using 3×8 inserts this year. I had this one made weeks in advance so I’d remember to include our menu. We kept things simple this year as we knew I wouldn’t be able to work in the kitchen for too long.
My favourite pages are the two above. I wanted to include a lot of the dinner photos, but the lighting wasn’t great, and they look pretty cluttered. My solution was put an effect on them all (Cozy by Radlab), collage them, then make a pocket for them to slip into with a little tab to pull them out. I’m so happy with how it turned out as I then used the pocket for the annual family photo on one side, and the journaling about the evening on the other.
