Leek, Bacon and Asparagus Quiche

I’ve been experimenting in the kitchen of late and there have been some rather disastrous results (how many people do you know that can make an inedible potato bake?) as well as some yummy ones. Christmas decorations

Keen observers may note that I’m not quite up to date with Blogtoberfest. I started out with gusto but ran out of ideas of things to post. As I just said to my husband; it’s hard to post daily on a craft blog if you haven’t actually made anything! Still, I’m still forging on and will be happy  ...

Thoughts on potagers

A few years ago my husband announced that we were going to have a veggie garden and that it would be in the front yard. Why the front yard you might ask? Well, the backyard is tiny and has limited sunlight from both our house and the house next door blocking the sun. There’s a small area that  ...

Melva and Ray’s Garden

Both my Great Uncle Ray and Great Aunt Melva passed away over the Christmas period of 2009 and 2010 respectively. They had a lovely garden filled with lots of old plants and in particular; lots of pelargoniums. I have collected cuttings from their garden over the past year and some of those  ...
