Calico Shopping Bag

One thing Colin and I are quite big on at present is remembering to take the green bags when we do the supermarket shopping. On Friday I started thinking that I could whip up some calico bags and embellish them so they’re not only practical and environmental, but pretty. I went out and purchased some calico and fat quarters and here is this evenings result. No pattern, just cut and ironed and sewed.

Lamb and Barley Soup

A favourite thing

From the months of June-September my mother’s Pink Ice Protea flowers prolifically which results in a vase full of them every few weeks for my home. They’re such a gorgeous flower, tough but fluffy and they last for weeks. I must plant one myself.
